Hey European traveller...it's a good idea to keep in mind as your heading for the high ground that Switzerland is not a part of the European Union, and hence the euro is not the official currency; the official currency is the Swiss Franc. This is not to say that your euros are worthless there, they're accepted in some places, but certainly not all.
