Porto Seguro is a major tourist attraction due to its beaches and night with its bustling boites and the beach sidewalk.

The municipality of Porto Seguro was founded in 1534, and according to some historians, is the place of arrival of the Portuguese to Brazil.

Porto Seguro has more than 114,459 people and almost all buildings are felled by Heritage. Furthermore, it is not allowed to build buildings with more than two floors.
