Vilangelim Eco-Hotel is placed in the mid of an old farmland which housed a lovely chapel, that can still be seen at the entrance of the Imbassaí village. Before the Green Line construction begun in the early 90's, the access to Imbassaí was difficult and time consuming, and only a few adventurous dared to visit it. The Vilangelim Eco-Hotel, a dream of two young entrepreneurs, was built in 1998 preserving the already remaining Atlantic Forest, which inspired the ecological reference to its name.

Despite the proximity of big resorts and hype spots like Praia do Forte and Costa do Sauípe, Imbassaí continues to be a relaxing, calm and charming paradise, that has been enchanting tourists from all over the world. It is an interesting alternative for those who are looking for a quiet and comfortable place, but want to have the choice to go for joyful hangouts.
